Miss Shannon’s Dance Stream currently operates three Performance Teams – Senior Jazz Performance Team (SJPT), Pre-Teen Jazz Performance Team (PJPT) and the Junior Jazz Performance Team (JJPT). Participation in these classes is by invitation only. To be eligible for selection you must be enrolled in a regular Jazz plus a Ballet or Lyrical/ Contemporary class at MSDS.

Students in our performance team represent the studio at different dance competitions throughout Sydney. Usually, two to three competitions a year. Students in this group possess promising dance ability, a willingness to learn and a strong work ethic. Performance Team members develop confidence, stage presence, teamwork and dance skills throughout the competition year. There is nothing quite like it!

Team members must be TEAM players. They must show up to rehearsal, both physically and mentally, they must honour their commitment, not just to the teacher, to every member of the group. When everyone works together, with the intention of bringing their personal best, the end result is always a triumph.
